From Brett and Hiromi come these sweet comments: "...She likes it Victorian...I really like something about this girl. Pictures aren't worth words*: they're worth more than words. There's a pallid intensity in her photo that reaches me...Zee nice lady's eye bite, and I've been bitten." * Sometimes Words have their own power... ALONE Excerpt from THE DESERT [From the T.E. Lawrence poems, by G. MacEwen] Only God lives there in the seductive Nothing That implodes into pure light. English makes Him an ugly monosyllable, but Allah breathes A fiery music from His tongue, ignites the sands, invents a terrible love that is The very name of pain... "All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible." T.E. Lawrence Seven Pillars of Wisdom Practice non-action. Work without doing. Taste the tasteless. Magnify the small, increase the few. Reward bitterness with care. See simplicity in the complicated. Achieve greatness in little things. - Lao-Tse (604-531 BCE) Don't worry at all then about tomorrow. Tomorrow can take care of itself! - Jesus (30 CE) Dreamland by Lewis Carroll When midnight mists are creeping, And all the land is sleeping, Around me tread the mighty dead, And slowly pass away. Lo, warriors, saints, and sages, From out the vanished ages, With solemn pace and reverend face Appear and pass away. The blaze of noonday splendour, The twilight soft and tender, May charm the eye: yet they shall die, Shall die and pass away. But here, in Dreamland's centre, No spoiler's hand may enter, These visions fair, this radiance rare, Shall never pass away. I see the shadows falling, The forms of old recalling; Around me tread the mighty dead, And slowly pass away. A Sufi story... A holy woman sat outside the temple watching a tide of people pass, a river of need, the destitute and the wounded, the drunk and the lame and the outcast, and during her prayers, she cried out to God, "How can a loving creator see so much suffering, and not do something to help them?" And God said, "I did do something. I made you." Subscribe! |

Hey, I bought a dildo from Ken once! His was one of very few stores that both had a Kong model (it's huuuuuge) and would ship it to Japan. Very nice guy, and reasonably-priced stuff!
